• "My first yoga class at 8 Limbs was my first yoga class ever, so I went into was feeling apprehensive, a little skeptical, and a lot awkward; I came out feeling sore and like I had a lot to learn, but I couldn't have had a more positive introduction to yoga. My Level I class was small enough that all of the students got plenty of individual attention. I worked my way through Level I with supportive teachers who blended practical advice about poses with a spiritual element that really rang true for me. Yoga now keeps me healthy and happy to the point where it ranks up there with dinner on my list of daily necessities. The quality of instruction at 8 Limbs is fabulous. Teachers have a deep knowledge of the practice as a whole and can translate it into practical terms that relate to everyday life. And the challenge! There is an ethos at 8 Limbs that encourages students to push themselves, but also to know where their 'edge' is and respect it."

The 8 Limbs Yoga Community

We like to think of 8 Limbs as a tree that serves as both shelter and nourishment for the members of the 8 Limbs community - its students, teachers, and staff. We set down our roots in 1996 on Capitol Hill and have since grown to serve the four corners of Seattle. 8 Limbs is more than a yoga studio, it is an attitude of open-mindedness and grounded exploration.
