JEN YAROS
Jennifer was initially drawn to yoga for its ability to ease the mind and inspire the soul, yet it is the gaining of empirical knowledge of life, humanity and herself that keep her connected to the practice. Her classes focus on stabilizing the core of the body through steady, meditative exploration and stilling the mind through disciplined awareness. In 2009 she began using her classes as a forum to explore the Yoga Sutras of Pantajali, each week introducing a sutra, its relevancy to today's world, and methods for philosophical examination within the practice.
Though she has studied intensely with Paul Grilley, Jo Leffingwell and Katerina Wen and is currently expanding her knowledge through scientific studies in general chemistry, biology and physics, she believes that the everyday experience is ripe with teachings and an opportunity to deepen her practice.
Jennifer has been practicing yoga all her life and teaching full time since 2005.
