PAUL MILAGE
Paul offers a straightforward vinyasa (flow) class while allowing time for alignment and stillness for centering. With intuition and heart, Paul strives to hold a space that may inspire you to explore your edge within the context of your own needs and breath. Paul aims to foster alignment with your inner teacher, while nurturing joyfulness and a sense of connection that pervades beyond the mat.
As a runner, cyclist, and mountaineer, Paul relates well to tight hips and hamstrings and is compassionately striving to dispel the myth of “I’m not flexible enough for yoga.” He views yoga as a holistic and tried tool that can empower anyone on a journey of self-discovery, where the prerequisites are based in attitude and intention—not flexibility.
Paul draws freely from several styles and traditions, largely from the Krishnamacharya lineage to create an environment that nurtures the flexibility, strength, and balance needed in everyday life. Attending Samadhi’s teacher training in 2006, Paul found that he not only resonated with yoga as a way of life but also felt called to teach. His eclectic background working as a construction worker, Naval Air Crewman, Aerospace Engineer, High School Science Teacher, Thai Yoga Massage Body Worker, EMT, and most recently finishing nursing school prerequisites, all have contributed to his knack for relating to others. Paul is honored and humbled to share a way of life that he truly embraces.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about. Ideas, language, even the phrase each other doesn't make any sense.
