MEGAN COSTELLO Capitol Hill Manager & Yoga Instructor
Megan came to yoga in 2001, barely able to touch her toes. She had long thought that yoga was for the incredibly limber and felt she did not have a place in the yoga world. Eight years later, she has developed greater flexibility, but more importantly a more relaxed and grounded approach to life and has certainly found her way and her place in the yoga community. Through her classes, she strives to offer a supportive environment and classes that are accessible to a variety of students.
She completed her formal yoga training in 2008, but prior to that came from a background in bodywork including focus on massage, Reiki, Polarity and Acutonics (sound healing). She also completed the 8 Limbs Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training with Anne Phyfe Palmer and has combined asana, pranayama and sound healing in a strong, safe and supportive environment for yogini mothers to be.
Megan feels that slowing down the mind, connecting with the body and honoring the spirit are the keys to every yoga practice. She approaches her yoga practice with compassion, intensity and a great deal of laughter.
