WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Friday 2:00 – 5:00pm   $60
Kidney Chi
It is essential to not allow the kidneys to dry up. This happens as a result of muscular tension in the low back, fear and emotional holding on. In this class we will regard the kidneys as huge aquifers that provide endurance and homeostasis to the entire body. This practice includes twists, forward bends and supported backbends that are invaluable to balancing Kidney Chi. For Teachers and Advanced Students.

Friday 6:00 – 8:00pm $55
The Garland Pose
Practicing Malasana – the Garland Pose – requires elasticity in the feet, ankes, knees and hips. This class will use Malasana, garland pose as a gateway to practicing Bakasana, Bhujapidasana and Pasasana.

Saturday Intensive   $120 for the day

Arching Back   9:00am – 12:00pm
The architecture of the back bend is beautiful but difficult for it is all too common for the front of the body to compress, shortening the chest cavity and collapsing the ribs. In order to backbend we must free up the front of the body, particularly the quadricep-psoas-pectoralis link. This class includes an abundance of preparatory work to safely back-arch with grace.

Folding Inward   1:30 – 4:30pm
Forward bends serve to draw the mind inward toward the spirit and to restore the organ of the brain. This class emphasizes release of the back body – the spine, kidneys and lungs – in front bends in order to reduce fatigue and prepare the mind for meditation.

Sunday Intensive   $120

The Sacred Seam of the Inner Leg
9:00am – 12:00pm

The inner leg is sacred because it gives access to the front of the spine and it holds the life force of our deep reserve. Due to excess fatigue and stress, the inner leg is typically tight, weak or collapsed. Through both dynamic and restorative postures, this class emphasizes opening the channels of the inner leg and foot. We investigate the nadis (energetic currents) and bindus (energetic points) along the leg from the systems of Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine.

The Sacred Seam of the Inner Arm
1:30 – 4:30pm

This class explores the importance of the inner arm as it is the gateway to opening the lungs inside the chest. We explore the muscular connection between the hand and shoulder while investigating the nadis (energetic channels) and bindus (energetic points) along the inner arm from the systems of Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine. The aim of the guided asana practice is to open the hands, inside arms and shoulders.
